Despite the many complaints received over the years about the accused, Walter Goba, nothing was ever done by Manitoba officials to effectively shut him down.
Given that the accused, Walter Goba had previously been charged under the Animal Control Act in February 2009 and March 2010, WHY was this individual still in possession of any animal??? Why was no order for seizure issued out of the Manitoba’s Chief Veterinarians Office?? Why was this individual not also charged under the Federal Criminal Code of Canada????
The question as to WHY there was such complacency and indifference to so many complaints over the years, resulting in horrendous years of suffering inflicted upon these animals MUST be answered.
Minister’s responsible for overseeing the Animal Care Act of Manitoba have now heard the call by Manitobans for their resignations: Former Agriculture Minister Rosann Wowchuck and the current Minister Stan Stuthers . Ms. Wowchuk is now the Finance Minister of Manitoba.
